If you can relate to the words in this song, know that you do not have to live with the regrets of past mistakes.  You do not have to waste any more years trying to outrun your pain and fears.   Time does not heal, only Jesus heals.  The more time you live with something, the more time it has to cause pain and sorrow in your life.  You do not have to carry the heavy burden of life any longer.  Jesus said "come unto Me all who are weary and heavy laden and I will give you rest".  Matthew 11:28.   He also said "Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you". 

Have you experienced the peace of God in your life?  Can you put your head to the pillow at night and rest in peace?  or does your mind race back to all the failures, regrets, pains, sufferings of the past, all the while saying to yourself "if only I would have done this, or done that".  Jesus can give you a clean slate, make the bitter sweet.  He will give you peace. 

If you have not experienced the Peace of God it is probably because you have not experienced Peace WITH God.   In order to make peace with God you must be Born Again.  Jesus said in John 3:3 "truly, truly, I say to you, unless a man is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God".

Jesus wants to be a part of your life.  He wants to come in and take what is wrong and make it right.  But you have to ask Him to come in.  To be a part of your life, to be the Lord of your life.  You must let him take charge of every area.  You also must turn away from sin.  What is sin you ask?  Sin is anything you think, do, or say that does not please God.   The bible says that "the soul that sins shall surely die".  The penalty of sin is death.  The bible also says that "all have sinned and come short of the glory of God".   Therefore all are under the judgment of sin and the penalty is eternity in hell.  Yet there is hope.  God's love for mankind made a provision.  He offered a way out, a way for sinful man to escape hell.  God sent his Perfect Son, Jesus Christ to be born of a virgin, live a sinless life, and pay the debt that man owed.  God poured out all His wrath upon Jesus.  All the punishment we deserved fell upon the Holy Son of God.  Jesus paid the price so that we could escape death and hell.  He took upon himself the sin of the world and God punished him in our place.  We deserved death but Jesus gave us life, Jesus deserved life but choose death, so that we might live.  Now through the Precious Blood of Jesus we have pardon and access to a Holy God.  God feely accepts us when we Repent from our sins and believe in Jesus Christ.  The Promise is ETERNAL LIFE! 

God has given us a book that teaches us these truths.  This book is called the Bible.  Start by reading the New Testament Gospels.  Matthew, Mark, Luke & John.  Ask God to help you understand as your read.

If you want to start a relationship with Jesus Christ and receive him as your Lord and Savior then pray this simple prayer from your heart;

Lord Jesus, I acknowledge that I am a sinner and have broken your commandments.  I acknowledge that you took my place on the cross and paid the price for my sin.  That you were crucified, you died, and on the third day rose again and are seated at the right hand of God and are coming back again.    I repent and turn from my sinful lifestyle and I surrender my life to you.  Come in my heart and be my Lord and Savior.  Fill me with Your Holy Spirit.  Take the wrong and make it right.  Teach me to follow and obey you.   

 I love you and thank you for saving me from hell and from sin.  In Jesus Name.  Amen!
